Genuine Ovranette (ethinylestradiol and levonorgestrel)

What is Ovranette?

Ovranette is a long term oral contraceptive that should be taken once a day to provide complete protection against unplanned pregnancy. It also known as levonorgestrel and is almost 100% effective in preventing pregnancy. It is composed of two artificial hormones, ethinylestradiol and levonorgestrel. It is helpful not just as a contraceptive pill, but also helps to reduce the pain associated with periods and all the symptoms of pre-menstrual tension. It also aids in preventing endometriosis, a condition in which womb cells grow outside the womb. All these benefits have made this oral contraceptive a widely prescribed medication.

How does it work?

This contraceptive pill alters the hormonal balance of your body which works in three ways to prevent the risk of pregnancy. Firstly, it prevents the process of ovulation due to which the release of egg from the ovaries does not happen. Secondly, it thickens the mucus of the cervix so that a sperm finds it difficult to enter the womb. Lastly, it causes the thinning of womb lining which does not allow an egg to attach itself to the womb. These three actions make it almost impossible for a sperm to fertilise an egg and hence conception is prevented.

Who can take Ovranette?

You can take this contraceptive pill if you are a non-smoker who is above 18 years of age. However, you should avoid taking this pill if you have decreased liver function, unexplained vaginal bleedings, and history of heart problems or stroke. There are certain medications which cannot be taken along with this pill such as Vitamin C or St John’s Wort. It is important that you mention complete past medical history and treatments you have undergone in your online consultation with a doctor.

How should you take it?

You should start taking Ovranette pill from the first day of your period. However, if this is not possible, you can take it up to the fifth day of your period and use extra protection for the next seven days. The doctor will advise you to take this pill for 21 days of your menstrual cycle, followed by a break of seven days. During this seven day period you would be completely protected against conceiving, but may experience withdrawal bleeding. This is not your normal period but your body’s natural way to remove additional hormones from your system. Taking the pill at the same time every day will ensure more effectiveness.

Are there any side effects?

There are very few side effects which you can experience while using this pill. Like other medications, using Ovranette can also cause some common side effects like nausea, headache, breast tenderness, vomiting, weight changes, abdominal pain and changes in sex drive. These side effects are rare and mild and pass away as soon as the body gets used to the supplement of synthetic hormones.

Can you buy Ovranette online?

You can order Ovranette online from any of the registered online pharmacies, after completing an online consultation with a certified doctor. This consultation will ask you to submit your past medical history so that the doctors can confirm the suitability of Ovranette pills on your body. Once the doctor approves the medication, you will get a prescription and complete the ordering process. The medication is dispatched to your doorstep without revealing your personal information.
